How to Install DSS Express

Description

This article will show you how to install DSS Express Server, and Client software.

Prerequisites

• General_OverseasDSS-express_IS_V1.010.12JW000.0.T.20181015.exe downloaded to the target Server PC

Step by Step Instructions

1. Locate the DSS Express installation file, and double click on it.

2. Check the box to the left of, «I have read and agree the DSS agreement»

4. From this page you can change the install path by clicking, «Browse»

5. Click, «Install»

6. The server software will now being to install.

7. Once the installation is complete, the window will change to the image below. Click, «Run»

8. The previous window will close, and a new window will pop up after a few minutes.

9. Verify that every Server is displaying a, «Status» of, «Running»

NOTE: You might have to scroll down to verify the HTTP, HTTPS, and CMS ports. Make note of these three ports.

10. Open a web browser and navigate to, «localhost»

11. A DSS Express page should open up, click the Windows logo to download the DSS Express Client.

12. Locate the DSS Express installation file, and double click on it.

13. Check the box to the left of, «I have read and agree the DSS agreement»

14. From this page you can change the install path by clicking, «Browse»

15. Click, «Install» The client software will now being to install.

16. Once the installation is complete, the window will change to the image below. Click, «Run»

17. The previous window will close, and a new window will pop up shortly. Click, «Run»

18. Input the following credentials:

• User Name: system
• Password: 123456

19. Click on the arrow icon at the bottom of this window to bring up the server information.

20. Input the following:

If none of the above work. Input the DSS Express Server’s LAN IP address.

22. You will be prompted to change the System account’s login. Input your new password twice.

24. Input your security questions and answers.

26. The DSS Client will begin loading and logging into your DSS Express Server.

27. Once complete, you should see this window.

DSS Express Remote Access Setup via Port Forwarding

Description

These instructions will show you how to setup your DSS Express server and network so you can remotely access the DSS Express server from the DSS Client or from the DSS Mobile App.

Prerequisites

• DSS Express
• IP Address of DSS Express
• User Name and Password to router or modem

If you want to use the SIP function of DSS Mobile for VDP, you need to map 20000-30000 ports

Identify & Set WAN and LAN IP Address of DSS Express Server

Step by Step Instructions

1. Open the DSS Express Server configuration

2. Click the gear icon in the top right to change the IP information of the server

3. The Setting window will display the current IP information for the server

4. To find out the public IP for the network, start by opening a web browser and go to

5. The IP listed as «Your IP» will be the public IP as determined by the website

6. Enter this address into the «Mapping IP» field in the DSS Server Configuration

Be sure to note the CMS IP address, we will be using that IP address to forward the ports in the next step.

7. Click OK once the information has been entered

8. You will receive a prompt to confirm a restart of the server to make the network changes. Click OK to proceed

Forward Ports in Router or Modem

Please note the screenshots in this guide may not match identically to the modem/router being used with the DSS, but will be helpful as a reference in configuring the correct Port Forwarding rules.

If more direct instructions are required, please refer to www.PortForward.com to find a step by step guide for your specific make/model of modem/router

1. Log into the router and navigate to the Firewall / Routing section

2. Create a new port forwarding rule

3. Enter all information for the port forwarding rule:

• Name — nickname for Port Forward Rule
• Port — desired port to be opened
• Forward IP — CMS IP , found in the previous steps in the DSS Server configuration
• Protocol — Both (TCP, UDP)

Click Save once the parameters have been entered

4. The created port forwarding rule will appear in the list.

Repeat the process to create new rules, for every port that is required for DSS functions (refer to above chart)

Доступ с любого устройства

В пакет приложений входят 3 решения: DSS Express Client, DSS Web Client и DSS Mobile. Приложения позволяют пользователю получить круглосуточный доступ к видеонаблюдению с мобильного, при помощи программы для ПК или через веб-браузер.

DSS Express Client – это ПО простое и удобное для ежедневного пользования и управления системой. Можно вывести изображения на несколько мониторов, т.к. DSS Express Client поддерживает декодирование изображения через видеокарту и многоэкранный режим.

Мобильное приложение DSS Mobile позволяет пользователю отобразить на экране смартфона одновременно видеоизображение с четырех камер. DSS Mobile поддерживает просмотр архивных видеозаписей, а также возможность управления поворотными камерами PTZ.

Простота расширения системы

В DSS Express предусмотрена возможность увеличения производительности за счет распределенных аппаратных решений. Платформа регулярно обновляется, добавляются надстройки и увеличивается емкость путем получения дополнительных лицензий, в случае если вам нужно больше камер, чем в бесплатной версии DSS Express (64 видеокамеры в рамках бесплатного пакета).

ПО интегрируется с тревожной сигнализацией, кассовыми терминалами (POS), системой распознавания лиц, а также с ITC.

Распознавание номеров LPR

Встроенный модуль LPR (License Plate Recognition) позволяет распознавать номера автомобилей, производить захват изображений с автомобилями и управлять списками транспортных средств. Наличие такого функционала пригодиться для объектов, на которых установлены системы управления парковками или в управлении дорожным движением.

Автоматическое распознавание лиц

Данный функционал применяется на объектах мониторинга входов, например, на ЖД станциях, метро, на терминалах аэропортов, на коммерческих предприятиях, в образовательных учреждения, где установлены камеры видеонаблюдения FR.
