Don’t put or extract WickedWhims files into folders, the game won’t be able to find the mod.

Files structure of mods is extremely strict and putting mod files into too many folders will cause the game to not find them. If the files are two folders deep or more, you need to fix that! Keep WickedWhims files directly in the Mods folder! The limit is one folder deep!

How to know if you did it right?

Turn the game on.

Open the Game Options.

Open the Other settings menu.

Click the ‘View Custom Content‘ button.

If you don’t see either the «TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Tuning» entry under «Custom Content» or the «TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Scripts» entry under the «Script Mods» — You Did It Wrong!

2. Enabling Auto-Disabled Mods

Your mods will be disabled after game patches, and you are required to enable them manually.

Every single time the game gets updated, all of your mods will be disabled automatically. You have to open Game Options, enable mods, apply changes, turn off the game, and then turn on the game again. Check out the Manual Installation page for more information on how to enable mods in the Game Options.

3. Updating Everything

Mods will simply ruin your whole game if you don’t keep them updated.

The biggest issues are always from using outdated or broken mods that affect the working ones in unpredictable ways and eventually break your game. After downloading and installing custom content, you always have to assume that you have broken mods.
Keeping your game updated is really important as well, and you can find what versions of the game are supported by WickedWhims at the Download page.

4. Extracting Downloaded Content

Archives (.zip .rar .7z) have to be extracted or the mod will not work.

The game only accepts PACKAGE and TS4SCRIPT files. If you put any other files into the ‘Mods’ folder, nothing will happen.
To extract archives you need an Archive Manager. If your system doesn’t provide one by default, try these:

WINDOWS — WINRAR

It is common for 7-ZIP to cause issues when extracting ZIP or RAR archives. It’s recommended to use a different archive manager application!

How To Share Information

Information Sharing Basics

Not sending an error file? Include the version numbers of your game. These are visible in the bottom-right corner of the game main menu.

Save Sharing Basics

1. While In-Game, load the save you want to share and save the game.
Saving the game is meant to make the save file appear as the latest modified file to make it easy to find. Alternatively you can check the file name in the ‘Load Game’ menu by hovering over the icon.

2. Open the “saves” folder by going to ‘Documents -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 4 -> saves‘ and sort all files by ‘Date Modified’.
By sorting by ‘Date Modified’ you will see the most recent save file on the top, and since you saved the game in the first step, that would be the save you need to share. Only one file is required, the SAVE file.

3. Include details about the shared save!
Mention what is the name of the family, the name of the Sim to look at, and which world the household is at.

If no method of attaching or sending a file is available, upload the file to a hosting and share the download link. Try places like Google Drive, Dropbox, Sync, MEGA, workupload, MediaFire, or what you prefer.

Useful Error Files

Not all error files are useful to share, please send only the useful error files. Make sure to always send the most recently created file.

Sending Error Files

When sending an e-mail or posting on a forum, include the error file as an attachment to your message.

When sending a Discord message, drag and drop the error file from your computer into the Discord window.

Optionally, upload the error file to PasteBin or Rentry and share the link to the site.

In a situation where the error file is too big in size to share, edit the file with a text editor and remove the top part of the file contents.

Self Diagnose

Although not recommended, you can attempt to diagnose an error yourself. The key is not to draw immediate assumptions about the source of your issue as error files contain a lot of information that is not related to the actual problem you’re encountering. Try using the LastException Assistant site to get very basic information about the contents of an error file.

How to Troubleshoot Sims 4 WickedWhims Errors

WickedWhims is one of the most popular mods among Sims 4 players. If you think about what it can do, then it’s easy to understand why this mod became so popular.

But that’s not the topic of this guide. Sometimes, gamers may get all sorts of errors after installing WickedWhims, including fatal errors, last exception errors, attribute errors, and so on. In this guide, I’ll list a series of potential fixes that may help you get rid of these errors.

Fix WickedWhims Not Working in Sims 4

Fix 1 – Check file structure and hierarchy

Make sure WickedWhims files are placed directly in the Mods folder. If you put mod files into too many folders, Sims 4 won’t find them. Make sure the files are just only one folder deep.

If you’re a macOS user, make sure the TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Tuning file is under Custom Content and the TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Scripts right under the Script Mods.

Fix 2 – Install the latest updates

When using mods, keeping them updated is essential if you don’t want them to brick your game.

Outdated or broken mods can cause countless game glitches – that’s why keeping your game updated is key. Don’t forget to check what Sims 4 versions WickedWhims supports.

Fix 3 – Enable your mods

If you recently updated Sims 4, don’t forget to enable WickedWhims manually. This is valid every time you install a new Sims 4 update.

Go to Game Options, enable mods, save the changes, and close the game. Then launch Sims 4 again.

Fix 4 – Remove old files

Avoid overriding files when updating WickedWhims. The first thing you need to do is remove absolutely all the old files before downloading the updated files.

Don’t keep multiple versions of WickedWhims on your machine as this is a sure recipe for disaster. Old files will interfere with the new ones preventing them from running properly.

Fix 5 – Delete the GameVersion.txt file

If WickedWhims won’t work after installing the latest Sims 4 updates, navigate to your Sims 4 documents, and delete the GameVersion.txt file. Many users confirmed this workaround fixed the problem. So, if your Sims 4 mods are not working after update, deleting the GameVersion.txt file should do the trick.

Additional solutions

• Delete all the mods and CC installed on your device, as well as the localthumbcache.package file stored in The Sims 4 folder.
• Launch a test save that you’ll use to do mod testing with. Don’t use your save, use a test save — that’s really important.
• Download MCCC again and test
• Download WW base mod (without the animation) and test
• Download the animations one by one and test after each animation
• And now, download CC files one at a time and test.

Turbodriver wickedwhims scripts ts4script не работает

The Sims™ 4

do you have «enable custom content and mods» and «script mods allowed» turned on in the game options?

are the mods located in the C:\Users\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder?

are the mods .package .blueprints or .householdbinary?

what mods are you trying to install?

Extracted everything with rar into the mods folder.

nothing wrong with that i have it installed, did you just drag n drop the folder into the rar into the mods folder?

thats most likely why its not working, inside the rar should be a folder called wickedwhimsmods

inside that folder should be two files named

copy those over to the mods folder but not everything else and it should work (this is what i had to do in order to get it to work)
